Danica Patrick silenced her critics this week with a victory in the Japan 300 and became the first woman in history to be a good driver.
“It’s been a long road for women,” said Patrick. “But, finally, one of us can legitimately claim to drive well. I have a trophy and everything to prove it. Sure, there are still some 3 billion women in the world who can’t drive for sh-t, but this is a small step.”
Patrick says her confirmed status as a good driver puts her in select company.
“When you take out all of the women and all of the Asians in the world, there aren’t too many good drivers left,” said Patrick. “Just me, white men and black men. And black men can’t go more than a lap or two without getting pulled over.”
